My story

More than results: my journey, my drive, my ambition

I grew up near Schladming – the perfect environment for a sports-enthusiastic kid like me. Even in primary school, cycling was one of my favourite hobbies, though football and skiing took priority. It wasn’t until I was 15 that I truly fell in love with MTB downhill. I had started an apprenticeship as a mechanic and finally had enough money for a proper DH bike.

It only took a few weeks and I was at the start line of my first race in Schladming. Since that weekend in 2012, it feels like nothing else has existed for me. My path to the top was long and far from easy! With a lot of discipline and training alongside work, I made it into the top 20 of the world elite for the first time in 2018 and finally became a professional athlete. In the years that followed, I kept climbing – right up to two European Championship titles, a World Cup win, and World Championship silver.

I want so much more from these successes, and together with the Syndicate, that’s possible!

Andi Kolb Daniela Rebholz

“Andi’s journey stands out not just because of the results, but because of how he achieved them: the ability to regulate himself and stay grounded under immense pressure. He takes responsibility for his mental state—he doesn’t react impulsively in decisive moments, but responds with clear intention and control.

That’s exactly what separates good athletes from exceptional ones.

From a sport psychology perspective, watching this kind of stability develop is the most valuable outcome. And it emerged in the right environment—especially through the collaboration with Markus Pekoll.

Thank you, Andi. Thank you, Markus.”
